Descend toward Ribeira, Porto’s colorful riverside district and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander through narrow medieval streets, admire the traditional buildings overlooking the Douro River, and soak in the lively atmosphere.

Cross the upper level of the Luís I Bridge, which provides spectacular views of the city and river. Continue to Jardim do Morro, one of Porto’s most popular sunset locations. As the sun sets, enjoy panoramic views of Porto’s skyline and the Douro River.

Take the cable car down into Vila Nova de Gaia and visit one of the famous Port Wine Cellars for a tour and tasting. Depending on the season, sunset times, and wine lodge operating hours, it may be preferable to visit the wine lodges before sunset and then return to Jardim do Morro afterward.
