Day 1: Skyline Splendor and Broadway Brilliance

Experience New York City's most iconic landmarks, from sweeping skyline views and elegant Fifth Avenue to the bright lights of Times Square and the magic of Broadway.

Morning

Begin the day like a New Yorker with a freshly made bagel or a classic bodega bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich before heading into the southern portion of Central Park, the iconic green space that provides a retreat from the city's fast-paced streets.

Wander to Bethesda Fountain, cross picturesque Bow Bridge, and stroll along The Mall and Literary Walk, one of the park's most recognizable promenades lined with towering American elm trees.

Optional add-on: If in season, consider renting a boat from the Central Park Boathouse for a different perspective of iconic landmarks like the Bow Bridge and the surrounding midtown Manhattan skyline.

Continue to Top of the Rock, widely considered one of New York City's finest observation decks thanks to its panoramic views that include both the Empire State Building and Central Park.

Afterwards, explore Rockefeller Center, an Art Deco landmark that serves as a cultural and entertainment hub throughout the year, and admire the legendary Radio City Music Hall from the outside.

Walk north along glamorous Fifth Avenue, passing some of the world's best-known luxury retailers before visiting St. Patrick's Cathedral, with its soaring Gothic Revival architecture.

Requirements for respectful/modest attire apply at churches, synagogues, and other religious sites. Visitors should avoid disrupting religious observances and remain mindful of posted customs.

Afternoon

Optional add-on: Visit The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) to admire masterpieces by artists including Van Gogh, Picasso, Monet, Dalí, Warhol, and many of the twentieth century's most influential modern painters.

Take a short stroll through Bryant Park, a lively green space surrounded by Midtown's soaring office towers, before visiting the New York Public Library - Stephen A. Schwarzman Building. Pause to admire the famous marble lions guarding the entrance, then step inside to see the elegant Astor Hall and Rose Main Reading Room, one of the world's most beautiful public reading rooms.

Continue with a quick walk through Grand Central Terminal, where the celestial ceiling, grand concourse, and historic architecture make it one of New York City's landmarks. From here, either enjoy a crosstown walk or take the subway to Times Square.

Evening

As daylight fades, experience the energy of Times Square, where enormous digital billboards, street performers, and bustling crowds create one of the city's most recognizable urban scenes.

Optional add-on: End the evening with a Broadway performance, one of New York City's signature cultural experiences featuring everything from timeless musicals to acclaimed contemporary productions.
