Day 1: Revolutionary History and Harbor Adventures

Follow the Freedom Trail through Boston’s historic heart, making brief stops at some fof its highlights:

  • Boston Common — America’s oldest public park
  • Massachusetts State House — Boston’s landmark “Golden Dome” and seat of Massachusetts government; view the historic building from outside
  • Faneuil Hall— Historic meeting hall known as the “Cradle of Liberty,” where colonists gathered to debate independence

Browse the food stalls and shops of Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall for snacks before continuing toward the waterfront.

Late Morning/Afternoon

Explore the underwater world at the New England Aquarium, home to giant sea turtles, penguins, sea lions, and a spectacular ocean tank.

Break for a classic Boston lunch of clam chowder and/or a lobster roll, then step into the city’s revolutionary past at the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum, where interactive exhibits bring the famous 1773 protest to life.
